Human Trafficking
Hey yall, SORRRRRRRRRRRY I've been MIA for the last month. Tomorrow an official apology blog is coming. :) I was going to post it today, BUT I have something really exciting and important that I wanted to let all you RDU folks in on. Tomorrow morning from 9-11 World Relief is hosting an event focussing on human trafficking going on in our own community. It's going to be an extremely informative event, as well as give you opportunities to get involved. Here's what their website says:
Human trafficking is not just a problem overseas; it is a problem here, with 14,500 to 17,500 people being trafficked into the United States each year, including in Raleigh-Durham.Join us as we hear from those working to put an end to human trafficking in our community. Following this discussion will be time for silent reflection or prayer as we respond to this injustice. The event will conclude with a time to share thoughts and ask questions. |
It's going to be at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham, NC from 9-11am. You can RSVP to this event by emailing World Relief Durham at wrd.intern@gmail.com.
Anyways, it's going to be great and I'm definitely going to be there. So I'd love to see your face! Let me know if you're planning on coming!
Much love to you all... Look for my blogger absence apology coming tomorrow! :)
