10 things NEVER to say to a pregnant woman
Almost to week 31... one more day.
At the beginning of this journey, I had a friend who had twins who told me in the beginning that this was going to be hard, but it is like a marathon, just keep persevering towards the finish line and at the end it'll be so sweet. I totally agree with the analogy and moral of the story: PERSEVERE it'll all be worth it. So I agree with it... except for the fact that as a runner of two marathons... this is nothing like running a marathon. This makes training for and running a marathon in the freezing cold rain through Umstead Park look like a walk around Shelley Lake on a cool fall day, with a nice hoodie and a cup of coffee in one hand and your bff's hand in the other. Oh and birds are singing and animals are waving at you while you leisurely stroll by. I'm not complaining - I'm just saying that this is the hardest thing I've ever done physically - and it's way harder than a marathon. It's hard physically/emotionally/mentally even though there is so much joy surrounding this pregnancy. And I'm here - in the final stages - and if I'm being honest... I'd rather be running a marathon at this point, but I'm looking towards the finish line and I'm getting excited to meet our sweet girls. ;)
Ok enough complaining...
A friend sent me a link to this and I about wet my pants after reading this I was laughing so hard... it is so true and I LOVE that it was written by a woman with twins. :) So click on the photo and enjoy this article by Readers Digest...
